Fall 2016 Carnivals in Westchester

As we sadly say goodbye to sun, sand and bathing suits, we shift to our next big season of fun. Fall in Westchester County, NY is filled with so many things to do. To start, here is a list of local carnivals to make the most of the beautiful autumn weather. Enjoy rides, cotton candy, games and live music. Up next: a full list of all Fall Themed Festivals and Halloween events you won't want to miss (heads up: CORNucopia, starts this Saturday, September 3rd). Stay tuned!

​Kiwanis of Hartsdale Carnival

Summary: Carnival featuring arcade games, carnival food, and 15 rides including the ferris wheel.
Schedule: September 1st - 5th. Thursday 6 - 10 pm, Friday 6 - 10 pm , Saturday 2 - 10 pm, Sunday 2 - 11 pm, Monday (Labor Day) 2 - 9 pm.
Location: Webb Field, Presser Park, 218 N Central Ave, Hartsdale, NY

Yorktown Grange Fair

Summary: Rides, livestock shows, live music, food, audience participation contests including pie and watermelon eating, jugglers, magicians, antique tractor parade and more.
Schedule: September 8th - 11th. Thursday 5 - 10 pm, Friday 4 - 11 pm, Saturday 10 am - 11 pm, Sunday 10 am - 7 pm.
Location: 99 Moseman Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Festival

Summary: Annual festival featuring carnival rides and games as well as authentic Greek food, pastries, live music, DJ music and dancing. In addition there will be a flea market and a marketplace with jewelry, clothing, giftware, toys and more. 
Schedule: September 8th - 11th. Thursday 6 - 11 pm, Friday 6 pm - 12 am, Saturday 2 pm - 12 am, Sunday 1 - 9 pm.
Location: 10 Mill Rd, New Rochelle, NY 

​Yonkers Riverfest

Summary: Now in its 24th year, Riverfest has grown to be the largest free festival in Westchester County. Located at the Waterfront in Downtown Yonkers, over 25,000 visitors will come to see  performers, exhibitions and tours, cuisines and more. There will be a separate children's area with live music, bouncy castles, slides, games, a puppet theatre and an animal show.
Schedule: Saturday, September 10th 12 - 7 pm.
Location: Yonkers Waterfront

​Harrison Public Library's Play2Learn Festival

Summary: Free family festival with eight different play zones with hands-on activities, live concerts, food truck, raffles and more. Musical performers include: Armelle for Kids, Chloe's Kids, Groove Band plays Music for Aardvarks, Songs for Seeds and Turtle Dance Music.
Schedule: Saturday, September 10th 11 - 3 pm.
Location: Riis Park, 2 Bruce Avenue, Harrison, NY.

​Yorktown Feast of San Gennaro

Summary: The Town of Yorktown brings the good vibes of the legendary Feast of San Gennaro to northern Westchester with Italian food, rides, games and nightly entertainment.
Schedule: September 15th - 18th. Thursday & Friday  5 - 11 pm, Saturday & Sunday noon - 11 pm.
Location: Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights, NY.

 7th Annual Italian Feast & Carnival

Summary: Festive Italian celebration hosted by the Blauvelt Sons of Italy, Rockland Lodge 2176 will feature plenty of Italian food, live entertainment and rides for all ages.
Schedule: September 15th - 18th. Thursday  5 - 11 pm, Friday 5 pm - midnight, Saturday noon - midnight, Sunday noon - 9 pm.
Location: German Masonic Park, 120 Western Hwy S, Tappan, NY (outside Westchester County)

Our Lady of Shkodra Carnival

Summary: 14th annual carnival and festival including rides, games, food, music, attractions, tournaments and an Albanian dance party.
Schedule: September 16th - 18th. Friday  6 - 11 pm, Saturday 2- 11 pm, Sunday 2 - 10 pm.
Location: Our Lady of Shkodra Church, 361 West Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale, NY

​Ardsley Day

Summary: Family friendly activities, amusements, items for sale and events including "The Taste of Ardsley."
Schedule: 
Sunday, September 18th 12 - 5 pm
Location: Held throughout the downtown Ardsley area on Center Street, in Legion Park and Addyman Square, up to the Village Green and along the 9A corridor and Bicentennial Park.

Peter C. Alderman Walk & Family Carnival

Summary: A modest walk followed by a picnic lunch with music and games for children. Entertainment includes a bounce castle, games and a DJ.
Schedule: September 18th, 3 pm.
Location: Fenway Golf Club, Scarsdale, NY

Sts. Peter & Paul - St. Ursula Church Fall Carnival

Summary: Carnival rides, games and attractions, merchandise vendors and plenty of great food from local merchants and restaurants.
Schedule: September 28th - October 2nd. Wednesday - Friday, 4 - 10 pm, Saturday noon - 11 pm, Sunday 2 - 10 pm.
Location: Church Parking Lot at 129 Birch Street, Mount Vernon, NY

​Harrison Harrison Elementary Enrichment Committee Carnival

Summary: Multi-day family carnival with rides, games and food.
​Schedule: September 30th - October 2nd. Friday, 6 - 10 pm, Saturday 1 - 10 pm, Sunday 1 - 5 pm. 
Location: Louis M. Klein Middle School, 50 Union Ave, Harrison, NY

Eastchester Columbus Day Carnival & Parade

Summary: Multi-day festival featuring rides and games, as well as, cuisine and crafts from local restaurants and businesses that celebrate everything local, and most of all, everything Italian! Special events include a DJ Dance Party, Homemade Meatball Contest, Live Music, Homemade Wine Contest, Fireworks (Sunday, October 9th at 9 pm). The Eastchester Columbus Day Parade is Sunday, October 9th at 3:30 pm starting at the Immaculate Conception Chuch, Eastchester.
Schedule: October 7th - 10th (Columbus Day). Friday 7 - 11 pm, Saturday 1 - 11 pm, Sunday 1 - 11 pm,  Monday 1 - 6 pm.
​Location: Lake Isle Country Club, 660 White Plains Road, Eastchester, NY

Peekskill Rotary Horse Show & Country Fair

Summary: 46th Annual Horse Show and Country Fair with attractions including pony and hay rides, craft market, bounce and slide rides for the children, and a “Kountry Kitchen” offering home-baked goods, pumpkins, apples and mums.
Schedule: Saturday, October 8th 9 am - 5 pm  and Sunday, October 9th 8 am - 5 pm
Location: Blue Mountain Reservation, 435 Welcher Ave, Peekskill, NY

Yorktown Festival & Street Fair

Summary: A fun filled day of food, music, activities for kids and more than 250 vendors! Includes children's rides, musical performances, dance performances, dog costume parade, hula hoop contest, hot dog eating contest and more.
Schedule: Sunday, October 9th 11 am - 5 pm
Location: Jack Devito Veteran's Memorial Field, Commerce St & Veterans Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY

Dobbs Ferry Festa

Summary: 15th annual festival includes DJ music, food, games, events, and fun.
Schedule: Saturday, October 15th 12 - 10 pm
Location: Main St & Cedar St, Dobbs Ferry, NY

20th Annual Sleepy Hollow Street Fair

Summary: Enjoy live music, children's carnival, science fair, and great local food. 
Schedule: Saturday, October 15th 10 am - 5 pm
Location: Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY
