Fairs, Festivals and Outdoor Fun
If you have not been to the New York Renaissance Faire yet, this weekend is a great one to go because it is Kids Admitted Free Weekend! No coupon required. There will also be a children's costume contest so be sure your kids dress up in their favorite Renaissance attire! Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00 am in Tuxedo Park, NY.
Learn about bees! Beekeeping: Honey Harvest is on Saturday at 10:00 am at Hilltop Hanover Farm. Taste and learn about harvesting honey from the hive. Purchase tickets in advance. Bees, Butterflies, and other Pollinators is on Sunday at Westmoreland Sanctuary and is for kids ages 10 and up.
Head to the Scarsdale Pool to play some Gaga at The Gaga Center's Scarsdale Pool Gaga Pit Takeover! Saturday at 2:00 pm.
Billy Kelly, 2016 Grammy nominee in the Best Children's Music Album category, will be performing at the Riverwalk Children’s Event Series. Saturday at 4:00 pm in Yonkers.
Sunday is the Hastings Flea! Kids entertainment starts at 11:00 am and includes a line-up of performers doing puppets, music and more! There will also be face painting, the Green Grunion burrito truck, a mystical tarot reader, antiques, crafts, jewelry, home goods and furniture. Starts at 10:00 am in Hastings-on-Hudson.

Check out the Taylor Mason family friendly comedy show at the all new Ha! Comedy Club at Ridge Hill in Yonkers. He is a ventriloquist, musician and stand-up comedian. There are two shows on both Friday and Saturday night. Purchase tickets in advance.
Barnes & Noble Yonkers Storytime is Saturday at 11:00 am. This week they will be reading the back-to-school, must-have picture book of the year, Milk Goes to School. Activities to follow. Free. |

There is no shortage of outdoor movies screenings this weekend. On Friday evening, head to the Kensico Dam in Valhalla to see Hotel Transylvania 2 for free. The movie will be shown outdoors, under the stars. Starting at 6:00 pm there will be themed entertainment for kids including a Mummification Station, Sun Sling and Bat Cave Conquest. Be sure to bring blankets, folding chairs and food. Enjoy the movie!
Also Friday night, you can watch Back to the Future at Muscoot Farm at 8:00 pm. On Saturday night, Inside Out will be playing at the Hudson River Museum Amphitheater Summer Series in Yonkers. |

Make a Difference
On Saturday, Pack Backpacks for Local Children in Need with the Sharing Shelf, a program of Family Services of Westchester. Enjoy pizza, music, popcorn and supporting a good cause at the Broken Bow Brewery in Tuckahoe. Starts at 2:00pm.
