It’s time to start thinking about this year’s parties! Some trends from last year are still in the mix while others are new and improved trends from last year. Can’t wait to try these new trends out!
Cakes : The fondant cakes that don’t taste like anything are moving out. Naked cakes are still around this year (especially ones with wooden cake toppers) and Drip cakes with toppings are new to the scene. Here’s what I’m talking about:

Desserts: While we are on the topic of cake, lets touch on other desserts that we will see a lot of in 2016. Cupcakes that have been in for years and also the more recent cake pops (which are expensive and taste like raw cake) are taking a back seat this year to donuts. Donut bars, donut favors and even donut trucks started to pop up last year and will be out in full force this year also!
Food : Mini pairings also started to become popular last year and are gaining momentum this year as many are moving toward informal seating and non sit down events.
Décor: The new colors of the year are rose quartz and serenity (blue color). These colors will be popping up in parties in addition to runways. Mason jars are back this year with colors and sparkles. Letters continue to be a great way to personalize a party whether it be through balloons, lights, or cake toppers.
