Moms in Business
We believe in supporting the amazing, strong, smart women in our community. Our goal is to help our moms by providing opportunities for them to connect in person and online. There are so many extraordinary things our moms are doing, our role is to share them and provide encouragement.
Our MOMtrepreneur networking events give local moms, who are also business owners or leaders, an opportunity to connect in person and share experiences. Our next event will be held in August or September. Stay tuned!
Meet some of Westchester's MOMtrepreneurs who built a business while building a family!
Lori Fettner’s new book, Welcome to Motherhood, just released! Being a new (or not so new) mom involves so many emotions. The poems in the book are meant to make moms laugh as well as offer advice and reassurance. She chose poetry because we all know moms don’t have a lot of free time, and these poems can be read in the moments between diaper changes and feedings. It’s a great gift for that new mom (or for yourself!)
Check out Lori’s website LoriFettner.com to learn more about the book, as well as her motherhood and teaching blogs. (She is a former teacher, and her first book, Teaching to the Child, is about her experiences teaching in NYC. The site also has access to her teaching store where busy moms and teachers can find lesson plans and other teaching materials.) “Follow” her blog to be kept in the loop about her book launch and other events in the area.
Please support Lori on the launch of her new book, Welcome to Motherhood Thursday, August 18 at The Little Red. It will be a fun Mom's Night Out! Click here for RSVP and details.
